Around Town – April 22

Orchids to …

• The Rev. John Sichting, from a friend.

• Larry Jackson for his excellent letter.

• the jury, attorneys, family and friends of George Floyd.

• the guilty verdict for the officer who killed a man over an alleged passing of a fake $20 bill.

• giving schools the “unprecedented” amount of money the county just received and reducing our taxes back to what they were.

• the jury in Minnesota that saw injustice and changed it.

• Susan Cox for her excellent letter.

• all the family, near and far, and all his co-workers and friends for all your love and prayers for my son Bob Remboske on his passing.

• the former elected official who stood up for the rule of law, not the rule of the mob.

Onions to …

• those who voted for the school tax referendum, hope they’re enjoying their new tax bill.

• the city for absolute “drunken sailor” spending.

• voting without one’s identity being verified, the only reason to do so is to commit fraud.

• the city for not removing the low head dam and then letting the river heal on its own.

• people who think the previous federal elected official was great because I say “keep the immigrants and deport the racist!”

• the insanity of the Indiana majority party’s legislators pushing legislation to allow open carry of guns without permits, voter suppression and allowing heavy trucks to damage our roads without requiring permit fees.

• the ex-federal elected official still wanting you to boycott a popular soft drink yet continuing to sell it on his properties.

• those who don’t believe that not every gun is an assault rifle, most weapons are defense items unless incorrectly used.

• more divisiveness, calling gun owners nuts.

• the term “herd immunity,” we’re not animals!

• the school system for a 51% increase in my property tax.

• not releasing the names of scholarship winners until after students have to commit to colleges.

• all the bumper-humpers, speed limits are for a reason, if you can’t abide by them, then leave earlier.

• politicians who don’t do the job they were elected for and don’t keep their personal comments to themselves.

• defunding the police, an ignorant mentality without facts is dangerous mob mentality.

• the former federal elected official who scammed and drained bank accounts of his hardworking supporters.

Happy Birthday to …
