Around Town – April 27

Orchids to …

• the awesome Saturday evening service by Pastor Teike, loved it!

• State, federal, and local law enforcement for your endless work in fighting illegal drugs.

• John Paetzel for the great work you’ve done on the sidewalks and steps, from Uncle Steve and Aunt Bic.

• all true Americans who teach their children right from wrong and to obey authority.

• the Hope Fire Department who helped the lady who fell Sunday.

Onions to …

• “wokeness,” a controlling ideology used for division and the promotion of chaos.

• the racial issues of the day being caused by how children were raised. Simple as that.

• members of the political party refusing to get the vaccine.

• the man at the store yelling at the young employee because he couldn’t understand your language, we couldn’t either!

• people who believe in religion.

• the leader who doesn’t know how to run meetings and has her secretary/relative run them for her.

• the political party doing a third time election result audit and still hoping for a different outcome.

• the letter from the company leader.

• those thinking anyone is trying to take guns away, no one needs a high-powered AK-47 to “hunt.”

• those who want to own high powered guns — join the military.

• giving us a pile of rubble on the west side and no progress.

• the police being vilified, as in any profession, most are not bad, and they are an important line of defense against crime.

• the climate plan that will expect us to replace our fossil-fueled furnaces with electric ones at great expense.

• the letter filled with hate, fear of others, self-righteousness and an all-out bad attitude.

• not knowing no one is above the law, even the elected official or any of his family.

• the elected official who is not paying all of his taxes.

• the current leader who wants to reverse the previous leader’s policy relating to nuclear arms which reduced the country’s power.

• the current leader for his plan to mitigate the border crisis.

Happy Birthday to …

• Cathy Schroer, from Joseph Hart Chapter DAR.

• Michelle O’Brian Lovins on No. 50, from Mom and all the rest of your family.

• Morgan Rylee Newland, from Nana, Papaw, Dad, Kaylin, and Mom.

• Marvin Brown, from Trinity Baptist Church.

ANOTHER beautiful morning
