Local man arrested after fleeing from police

A local man with multiple warrants was apprehended after he attempted to flee from Columbus police officers on Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., CPD officers observed Ethen A. Robertson, 23, of 3127 13th St., in the 4500 block of West Jonathan Moore Pike. Robertson reportedly fled on foot across State Road 46 after seeing officers, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

With the assistance of a CPD canine officer and his police service dog, the officers located Robertson hiding in a wooded area near the roadway where he was taken into custody.

Robertson was remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Bartholomew County arrest warrant

Jennings County arrest warrant

Pasco County, Florida arrest warrant

Resisting law enforcement (Level 6 felony)

Robertson was being held without bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
