COLUMBUS
E. Charlene Kelley, 74, of Columbus, passed away at 7:25 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Hickory Creek of Columbus.
Charlene was born November 15, 1946, in Brazil, Indiana, the daughter of Francis South and Nellie Winn. On July 3, 1989, she married Jack D. Kelley.
Mrs. Kelley retired from Delta Faucet Company after 23 years of service. She enjoyed being a girl scout leader and Sunday school teacher. Charlene never met a stranger and would help anyone that needed it.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; children, Scott, Anna, Angie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy and William; sisters, Beverly, Nina; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank South.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Timothy Streeval officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. We do ask visitors to follow social distancing guidelines inside the funeral home and masks are required. Burial will be Garland Brook Cemetery.
