Columbus police officers arrested a Greenwood woman Sunday evening after she was accused of attempting to flee from officers in her vehicle.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., CPD officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Eighth and Pearl streets. The driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as, Autumn R. Felumero, 26, refused to pull over and attempted to evade officers by making a series of quick turns on several downtown streets and alleys, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Officers continued to pursue Felumero, until she stopped her vehicle in an alley near 16th Street and California Street where she was taken into custody, Harris said.
Felumero was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement in a vehicle and possession of marijuana, where she was being held in lieu of $11,000 bond, jail officials said.
