Columbus, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department is advising motorists to avoid the area of State Road 46 East near State Road 9 due to a house fire east of the intersection.
The road is closed at the intersection. Deputies will advise when it can be reopened.
Firefighters said no one was at home when the house was hit by a lightning strike. No injuries have been reported.
