BASEBALL

Jets win share of title

HOPE — Hauser won a share of the Mid-Hoosier Conference title Monday with a 12-2, five-inning win against Morristown.

Sam Miller went 2 for 2, and Levi Gollmer and Alex Pattingill each went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for the Jets (17-9, 11-1). Bryce Trotter added a double and two RBIs.

Clayton West, Pattingill and Owen McIntyre combined on a five-hitter.

Panthers down Knights

AURORA — Jennings County built a 7-0 lead and held on for a 7-3 win at South Dearborn.

Logan McIntosh went 2 for 4, and Ian Sawyer had two RBIs for the Panthers (13-8). Keegan Manowitz, Cole Sigler and McIntosh combined on a five-hitter.

Chargers blank Cougars

GREENSBURG — South Decatur finished the regular season with a 9-0 MHC loss against North Decatur.

The Cougars (9-10, 6-6) were coming off a 10-0 five-inning win at North Decatur on Tuesday.

BOYS GOLF

East tops Red Devils

Kody Reynolds won medalist honors with a 42 to lead Columbus East to a 178-193 win against Jeffersonville at Otter Creek.

Pierce Arnholt carded a 43, Spencer Erfmeier added a 45 and Cole Schaefer shot a 48 for the Olympians. Jamaal Starks had a 50, and J.T. Kuhlman finished wit ha 53.

Panthers win tri match

Jennings County carded a 193 to win a tri match at Otter Creek. Morristown finished second with a 196, and Hauser was third with a 200.

Chase Martoccia led the Jets with a 44. Daniel Taylor carded a 48, Caleb Wallace added a 49, Jesse Bragg shot 59 and Ben Johnson had a 61.

Eagles fall to Braves

NASHVILLE — Brown County came away with a 176-243 loss to Indian Creek at Salt Creek.

Cooper VanNess led the Eagles with a 50. Clay Austin added a 54, Jordan Burnett shot 67 and Dylan Taylor had a 72.

Chargers run-rule Cougars

GREENSBURG — Haley Arthur threw a five-inning no-hitter to lead North Decatur to an 11-0 MHC win at South Decatur.

The Cougars (4-13, 2-6) were plagued by eight errors.
