CLEARWATER, FL
Phyllis Washuda, 87, passed away quietly May 13 at the Pinellas County hospice in Clearwater, Florida. She will be sadly missed by many who enjoyed her pleasant smile and quick wit.
Phyllis was born January 21, 1934 , in Columbus, IN to Glenn and Adrene DeBusk Lane. She was the second of four children. Soon after her graduation from Hope High School, she married John Washuda and moved to Detroit, Michigan. Here she raised three children and worked for a pharmaceutical company.
After retirement they moved to Clearwater, Flordia to enjoy the sun and be closer to her brother Harold. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, traveling, playing games, and especially reading her Bible. She was a member of Lakeside Community Chapel.
Phyllis was predeceasd by her mother, father, husband John, brother Harold Lane, sister Georgianna Lane, and son John Washuda.
Survivors are sister Dora Bingham; daughters Shelda Dorsch, Karen Zalewski (Darryl); and by granddaughters Jennifer Dorsch, Melissa Wilhelm (Otto), and Angela o’Dell (Lloyd); and four great-granddaughters.
