The CSA New Tech Interact Club, in conjunction with the Columbus Rotary, recently completed a new spring service project called “SPRING SMILES.” The club partnered with Four Seasons Health Center by providing 50 spring potted plants and succulents to patients and residents.
Students worked after school on May 7, plotting the plants and creating 79 greeting cards in hopes to bring “SPRING SMILES” to the residents’ hearts and faces. Donors for the project were Columbus Rotary members, Walmart Superstores, Soils Plus, and members of the Interact Club.
CSA Interact Club is a service-based student club with the mission to take action and develop leadership skills while discovering the power of “Service Above Self.”
“It was fun to be part of this project,” said Emma Martin, a co-founder Interact Club. “Letting people know they are thought of when they need encouragement is amazing. Caring for others is always a way to grow yourself as you make an impact on someone else. I am glad our potted plants and cards made the residents happier.”
