INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Department of Health said 387 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 746,554 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
To date, 13,267 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 23 from the previous day. Another 418 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
A total of 3,520,815 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 3,517,652 on Friday. A total of 10,538,415 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
Bartholomew County reported 8,144 positive tests (up three) with 156 deaths (no change) as of Saturday.
Surrounding counties reported:
- Jackson County: 5,068 positive cases (no change) with 74 deaths (no change).
- Jennings County: 2,343 positive cases (up one) with 49 deaths (no change).
- Decatur County: 2,897 positive cases (up four) with 92 deaths (no change).
- Shelby County: 4,992 positive cases (up two) with 97 deaths (no change).
- Johnson County: 18,335 positive cases (up seven) with 384 deaths (no change).
- Brown County: 1,035 positive cases (no change) with 43 deaths (up one).

Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine; individuals younger than age 18 are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine only. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.
As of Saturday, a total of 5,255,695 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,681,559 first doses and 2,574,136 individuals who are fully vaccinated. The fully vaccinated number represents individuals who have received a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and those who received the single Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The dashboard will not update on Sunday, June 6, due to technical maintenance, and no press release will be issued. Normal updates will resume on Monday, June 7.
