Letter: Sirloin Stockade is greatly missed

My mom and I are always in Columbus, Indiana shopping. Being part of BBJ Special Olympics, we have spent a lot of time in Columbus through the years.

One thing my mom and I enjoyed doing was going out to eat at Sirloin Stockade. The last time we ate there was March 12, 2020. We had made it a routine to eat there once a week, as we loved the variety of the food at Sirloin Stockade; and everyone from the managers, Wendy and John, to the servers were always so nice and kind.

Wendy a while back was joking with me saying to me, "Joe you are my favorite customer." She looked at me and said "you know it" she then said to me "thank you for coming in!"

Now that things are starting to look up in regard to COVID, my mom and I keep hoping a new buffet-style restaurant similar to Sirloin Stockade — like a new Golden Corral, Ponderosa, Ryan’s —  will open in the near future.

I hope the next new buffet-style restaurant opens in Columbus ASAP.

I love the hot, tasty delicious food that buffet restaurants always have, and Columbus desperately needs a new buffet-style restaurant when someone can come up with the next location.

So many people in Columbus have expressed their sadness and disappointment since Sirloin Stockade in Columbus closed its doors for the final time on Dec. 1 2020, myself included.
