Representatives of the Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress will meet with Bartholomew County officials at 6 p.m. today in the Bartholomew County Council chambers to give the council an update on current programming and the overall status of the ASAP Hub.
ASAP is a non for profit organization that helps in leading the effort to identify and establish system wide solutions to substance misuse and substance use disorders.
The ASAP hub was established several years ago by the City of Columbus, Bartholomew County Commissioners, County Council, and Columbus Regional Health due to the increase in drug-related deaths that were occurring in our community.
The county council meeting is open to the public.
Bartholomew Circuit Judge Kelly Benjamin will discuss the status of the new drug court, the REALM program provided by Community Corrections and the drug treatment program within the Bartholomew County Jail.
