COLUMBUS
Alice J. Euler, 85, of Columbus passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Alice was born in Maywood, Indiana September 2, 1935, the daughter of Glenn and Pauline Richardson Jackson. She was a graduate of Decatur Central High School. She married Harry V. Euler June 6, 1964 at St Bartholomew Catholic in Columbus; he preceded her in death August 12, 1992.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Columbus where for many years she served as a wedding coordinator. She helped with the annual smorgasbord, cookie walk and many other church activities. For several years she worked for the original Party Mart and for over 40 years worked as a funeral assistant for Hathaway~Myers and Myers~Reed Funeral Homes, which was a perfect fit for her outgoing and social personality. She loved visiting with friends and family, attending social events as well as doing volunteer work with Our Hospice and the Hospital Auxiliary.
Alice is survived by her son, James C. (Julia) Euler of Columbus; sister, Jane (Vern) Johnson of Franklin; grandchildren, Macy and Reese Euler of Columbus and Trevar Euler of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Timothy Euler; brother, Thomas Jackson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Howard Boles officiating. Visitation will be 4~7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday to service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
