Claude David “Gus” Lanham

ENGLEWOOD, FLA.

Claude David “Gus” Lanham, 92 passed away August 2, 2021. Born in Elizabethtown (Hardin Co.) Illinois on December 24, 1928, to William Henry Lanham and Daisy Chancey Lanham.

Mr. Lanham was a Veteran serving with the U.S Army February 1951 to December 1952, serving in Korea from June 1951 to April 1952. He was a retired Carpenter and loved playing softball and golf. Mr. Lanham was a member of Englewood United Methodist Church, Englewood, FL and former member of East Columbus United Methodist Church, Columbus, IN.

He married Mary Alice Zinn on May 30, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wilford, Robert and Gordon Lanham, his sisters, Martha Shockley and Dorothy Lanham.

Survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Alice Lanham; sons, David (Janean) Lanham, Daniel (Jennifer) Lanham, Donald (Melinda) Lanham; grandchildren, Jay (Marla) Lanham, Cory (Megan) Lanham, Barrett (Julie) Lanham, Mackenzie Lanham and Meghan Kohne; great grandchildren, Maylee, Jayda, Ty, and Grace Lanham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. August 20, 2021, at Cave-In-Rock Cemetery, Cave-In-Rock, Illinois. Memorial service in Englewood, Florida at a later date.
