Martha Elizabeth Dixon, 87, of Columbus, passed from this life at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021, at her home.
Mrs. Dixon was born March 9, 1934, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of Joe and Hazel Stafford Keith.
She married Claude Dixon October 9, 1948, he preceded her in death August 16, 2000.
Survivors include her children, Ester Mace, Jeff (Susan) Dixon, Dale Dixon and Stan Dixon all of Columbus; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Dorothy (Robert) Young of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jack Dixon; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. David Gates officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
