NORTH VERNON — North Vernon police are investigating after a deceased individual was found in a business in the 2000 block of Crestwood Drive at 8:13 p.m. Friday.
North Vernon police had been sent to the location to check on the welfare of a person inside the business, said Sgt. Andrew Richmond, North Vernon police spokesman.
An exact cause of death has not yet been determined. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time, Richmond said. Investigators believe this was an isolated event and no one else is or was endangered, he said.
