Audrey L. Thompson, age 67, passed away September 15, 2021 at the Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Fl, surrounded by her family. A graveside service will take place at Morningside Cemetery in Malone, NY on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Calling hours will take place prior at Frary Funeral Home in Malone from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home.
Audrey was born February 5, 1954 to the late Milton Smith and Veronica Hathaway in Syracuse, NY. In 1972, she graduated from West Hill High School before getting a degree in Fashion Design from Rochester Business Institute. On October 2, 1982, Audrey married the love of her life, Robert Thompson in Columbus, IN. Mrs. Thompson owned and operated her own businesses, Audrey’s Attic and Audrey’s Mini Mall when living in Columbus, IN. She enjoyed crafting and antiquing.
Audrey is survived by her son, Paul Thompson and his wife Melissa of Columbus, IN; a daughter, Heather Brostrom of Citrus Springs, Fl; three step-children; a brother, James and Diane Smith of Syracuse, NY; eight grandchildren, Adrianna Root, Zach Thompson, Chase Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Mackenzie Zollman, Samantha Thompson, Aubree and Jonathan Brostrom; many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and cousins.
Mrs. Thompson was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Veronica Smith; her husband Robert Thompson; and two sons, John and Barry Thompson.
