MORGANTOWN

Beloved father and grandfather, Thomas G. Allen, 74, of Morgantown, IN, passed away peacefully at 11:33 a.m. Sunday, October 24, 2021 surrounded by family.

Thomas was born in Hagerstown, IN on September 12, 1947 to Voyle M. Allen and Annabelle Harris Allen. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Architecture. While there, he met the love of his life, Susan May Scholl. The two married on January 20, 1973. They raised their three children to love God and family above all. After 45 wonderful years, Tom lost Susan on May 2, 2018.

Tom was a devoted follower of God and was a member and trustee of Unity Baptist Church. He was co-founder of the family business, Susan May Allen Architects and served on the Brown County 4-H Fair Board for nearly 30 years. His hobbies included woodworking and construction building. He was loved by all that knew him. He was happy to be able to help anyone in need. He was always caring and devoted as a Dad, Papaw, Uncle and friend.

He is survived by his children, Brian (Rachel) Allen of Cape Coral, FL; Tim (Holly) Allen of Morgantown, IN; Kelly (Joshua) Wesley of Nashville, IN; and his grandchildren, Marcella, Michelle, and Mireille Allen, Cali and Caleb Wesley; and niece and nephew, Nancy Pineda and David Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan, and a brother, Donald Allen.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Unity Baptist Church, 7361 Spearsville Road, Morgantown, Indiana with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church with service following. Burial will follow services at the East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
