COLUMBUS
Naomi R. Merriman, 89, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:07 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Merriman was born August 24, 1932, in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of William and Ola Golden Neal Ritter.
She married Richard L. Merriman March 18, 1950. He preceded her in death March 19, 1997.
Naomi retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1990 after 12 years of service and she was a member of Walker Chapel.
Survivors include her children, Rick (Pam) Merriman of Columbus, Ronnie (Karen) Merriman of Columbus, Janet (Frank) Farley of Columbus, Pam Lucas of Columbus, Patty Merriman of Edinburgh and Louella Brumfield of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Phyllis Boswell of Dupont.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughters, Carol Petro and Barbara Marshall; brothers, Clarence, Chester and Neal Ritter; a granddaughter and 3 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Revs. Roy Hendershot and Gary Bradley officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
