Thompson rolls 300 game

Kent Thompson rolled a 300 scratch game to lead bowlers in the Wessel &White B.H.H.S. Wednesday Night Mixed League last week.

Kent Thompson also recorded the men’s high scratch series (833), while John Stockamp netted the high handicap game (299) and Zacary Thompson had the high handicap series (795). Teresa Kelley rolled the women’s high scratch game (213) and handicap series (736), while Jennifer Thompson posted the high scratch series (548) and Megan O’Sullivan had the high handicap game (281).

Dairy Queen Downtown rolled the high team scratch game (855) and handicap series (2,857). Betty’s Beauty Barr notched the high scratch series (2,470), and Freedom Fireworks had the high handicap game (1,007).

Betty’s Beauty Barr maintained its sizeable lead in the team standings with a 58-6 record. State Farm-Kayla Stice Agent and Crystal Clear Cleaning are 16 games back at 42-22.

In the Dave York Memorial Tuesday BCB League, leaders from last week were Billy Behymer for scratch game (279), Tom Howard for scratch series (733), Niles Lauderbaugh for handicap game (300) an John Hall for handicap series (797). Team highs went to Liquor Box for scratch game (1,103), Independents for scratch series (3,225), Team #18 for handicap game (1,216) and Shall Tech for handicap series (3,535).

At 52-12, 96.3 WJAA has a two-game margin over Gray’s Pro Shop in the team standings. DNA Cleaning and Liquor Box are tied for third at 44-20.

Donner swimmers compete

Donner Swim Club competed in a pair of meets in October, the final two meets for coach Logan Schaefer before he left for a position with the Mason (Ohio) Manta Rays.

In the Avon Fall Classic, 25 Donner swimmers competed. The girls finished fourth out of seven teams with 650.5 points, and the boys took fifth out of six teams with a 227.5 points.

Mridula Muthukumaran scored 191 points to win the High Point Award for the 11-12 girls division and qualified for divisional in the 11-12 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. She also won the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 50 backstroke, 100 backstroke, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly and 200 IM.

Sanchita Ponnathpur won the 9-10 girls 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke and dropped 1 minute, 18.29 seconds in the 200 individual medley. She earned a total of 151 points.

Ellie Proffitt won the girls open 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, earning a total of 127 points in the meet.

Aarush Mahato scored 88 points and earned a divisional spot in the 200 IM. Carlos Fabian-Aguilar placed first in 100 butterfly, earning a total of 44 points in the meet.

Jude Abdallah swam a 51.10-second PR in the 200 freestyle to place 17 th. He scored six points in the meet.

Other high scorers for Donner were Karissa Miller with 51 points, Abby Profitt 44, Matthew Goble 35, Kanav Mehta 27, Isaac Profitt 27, Brook Meek 20.5, Rajvi Sapkal 19, Levi Bense 15, Karissa Bevis 13 and Brock Smith nine.

Donner had more than 30 swimmers participate in the FRST (Franklin Regional Swim Team) Meet of Fall. The girls placed sixth out of 18 teams with 411 points, and the boys took seventh out of 19 teams with 259 points.

Camila Meija Murguia won the 50 butterfly, 50 breaststroke, 100 IM, 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke in the 9U girls division. Rebeca Mejia Murguia finished first, and teammate Ella Bringman placed eighth in the 9U girls 200 freestyle.

In the 9U boys group, Reyansh Nighojkar finished fourth in the 50 breaststroke and fifth in the 50 butterfly and 200 freestyle.

Levi Bense placed eighth in the boys 10-13 group. Also in the boys 10-13 group, Aarush Mahato placed fourth in the 500 freestyle and earned a spot in the divisionals meet with a time of 6:01.8. Mahato also earned a divisional spot in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:06.80 and placed second in that event.

In the 14 and over boys’ division, David Fry finishd fourth in the 50 freestyle and fifth in the 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle.

Other scoring swimmers were Mridula Muthukumaran with 68 points, Sanchita Ponnathpur 40.5, Ellie Proffit 27, Matthew Goble 11, Rajvi Sapkal 10, Garrett Perfetto 8, Harshith Devaguptapu 7, Brock Smith 7, Kanav Mehta 6, Millie Fry 4, Abby Proffitt 4, Isaac Proffitt 4, Abhay Bhadauria 3, Braden Seegers 2 and Jude Abdallah 1.
