Eagles get first win
GREENCASTLE — Brown County shut out Greencastle in the second quarter on its way to its first win of the season, a 47-39 Western Indiana Conference victory on Friday.
Abigail Watson led the Eagles (1-2, 1-0) with 13 points. Lexie Austin scored 11, and Anna Stogsdill added nine.
Lancers fall to Bears
SHELBYVILLE — Edinburgh was within 26-21 at halftime, but Shelbyville pulled away for a 57-48 win.
Callie Hancock led the Lancers (2-2) with 17 points. Gracie Crawhorn scored 10, while Alyssa Funkhouser added nine and Kyah Streeval had eight.
Shiners top Cougars
GREENSBURG — South Decatur was within 31-25 at halftime, but Rising Sun pulled away for a 66-44 win.
Loryn Pate led the Cougars (1-3) with 13 points. Makayla Somers added eight.
