Who lived 93 years of a good life, passed away in Clearwater, FL October 22, 2021. She was born April 10th , 1928, in Columbus Indiana to Roy and Thelma Van Wye.
She moved to Clearwater FL in 1988 with her husband of 49 years Rex McKenney who preceded her in death in 1999. Doris worked for Cummins Engine Company for 22 Years.
She had one sister, Dorothy McKain, and a brother Roy “Pete” Van Wye who both preceded her in Death.
Doris enjoyed watching softball games, IU men’s basketball, playing cards with friends and traveling the world. She leaves behind a son, Mike (Connie) McKenney and a daughter Marcia McKenney. Two grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) McKenney and Sarah Grimaldi. Four great grandchildren, Olive and Leo McKenney and Malaya and Korra Grimaldi, along with several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service and a Celebration of life to be announced later.
