Charles and Janet Spurgeon of Columbus will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house given by family.
Mr. Spurgeon and the former Janet Lambring were married on Nov. 23, 1961, at St Paul’s Lutheran Church Wegan in Brownstown.
Mr. Spurgeon retired from Columbus North High School where he was a high school math teacher and Mrs. Spurgeon retired from Freetown Elementary School where she was a kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher.
The couple has three children, Greg (Sandy) Spurgeon of Brownsburg, Cheryl (Jay) Louison of Uniondale, and Jill (Tom) Klusman of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
