I understand that the city street department has placed several four-way stops north of 16th Street to slow down anyone on those streets. I wonder how many do stop at those intersections as the view is very good in both directions.
For safety reasons, the city needs to put a three-way stop at 16th Street and Lafayette Avenue. At that intersection there are bushes and trees that block the view in both directions for cars coming south on Lafayette Avenue so that you must pull out into 16th Street to see if there are is anything coming from either direction. If a car is coming from the east, there could be an accident.
So why not consider safety as well as slowing down in other areas?
