Jets rout Rising Sun

HOPE — Hauser outscored Rising Sun 19-5 in the third quarter to break open a close game and went on to post a 59-33 win against Rising Sun on Saturday.

Madelyn Poe led the Jets (4-2) with 22 points. Kyliegh Parrott added 10.

Tigers tame Crusaders

CROTHERSVILLE — Sarah Lorimor scored 33 points, but Columbus Christian took its first loss of the season, an 83-52 defeat at Crothersville.

The Crusaders (2-1) were within 56-44 after three quarters before the Tigers pulled away in the fourth.

Panthers stay perfect

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County built a 41-16 lead through three quarters and handed Rushville a 48-25 defeat.

Juliann Woodard led the Panthers (7-0) with 16 points. Alivia Elmore scored 12, and Lily Ernstes added 10.

Trinity wins again

SHELBYVILLE — Class A No. 3 Trinity Lutheran improved to 4-0 with a 57-48 win at Southwestern (Shelby).

Bailey Tabeling led the Cougars with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Kailene Cockerham added 13 points.

Eagles top Crusaders

NASHVILLE — After falling behind 21-8 after one quarter, Columbus Christian rallied to within 35-30 going into the fourth, but Brown County hung on for its first win of the season, a 57-50 triumph.

Kayden Bellmore led the Eagles (1-1) with 20 points. Carter Kelly scored 19, and Ben Wagler added eight.

Gabe Ridder scored 20 points to lead the Crusaders (1-3). Payton Rehlander added 16.

Jets fall twice

LOOGOOTEE — Hauser lost a pair of games in the Loogootee/North Daviess Classic, falling to Loogootee 81-28 and Evansville Day 88-76.

Taeshaun Tungate led the Jets with 11 points against Loogootee.

Bryce Bates and Koby Johnson each scored 19 points to lead Hauser (1-2) against Evansville Day. Ledger Gelfius scored 16, while Cole Renner had nine and Tungate added eight.

Lancers down Braves

TRAFALGAR — Caleb Dewey poured in 33 points to lead Edinburgh to an 80-56 win at Indian Creek.

Travis Jones scored 14 points for the Lancers (2-0). Jarrett Turner had 11, Riley Palmeter added 10 and Landen Burton chipped in eight.

SWIMMING

Panthers sweep North

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North won the boys and girls diving events, but North Central won all the swimming events in sweeping the Bull Frogs.

North Central won the boys meet 125-55 and the girls meet 144-41. Cole Wheeler won the boys diving with 175.35 points, and Ella Gray Partin took the girls diving with 145.20.
