MARTINSVILLE — Class 4A No. 8 Columbus East jumped out to a 37-22 halftime lead Tuesday night and never looked back in rolling to their seventh consecutive win, a 71-42 victory at Martinsville.
Saige Stahl recorded her third consecutive double-double in leading the Olympians (9-1) with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Koryn Greiwe scored 13 points, while Leah Bachmann had nine points and Harley Gant added eight points and 10 rebounds.
Panthers down Owls
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County snapped a two-game losing streak with a 70-42 Hoosier Hills Conference win against Seymour.
Alivia Elmore led the Panthers (8-2, 2-1) with 23 points. Kali Thompson scored 16 points, Juliann Woodard had 11 and Megan Vogel and Lily Ernstes each added eight.
T-Birds top Eagles
BLOOMFIELD — Brown County was within 33-29 after three quarters, but Eastern Greene pulled away for a 44-35 victory.
Maddie Huff led the Eagles (2-7) with 13 points. Katie Tipton added 11.
