COLUMBUS
Zachary “Zach” Thomas Shane Galbreath, 27, of Columbus passed from this life on Monday, December 6, 2021.
Zach was born on January 27, 1994, in Madison, Indiana the son of Christina Galbreath. On June 8, 2019, he married Kaitlyn D. Leonard.
Zach was a 2012 graduate of Columbus East High School where he enjoyed being in the show choir and also being on the soccer and wrestling teams. He went on to work at Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components where he was a mill operator. Zach loved to sing and enjoyed fishing with family, basketball, and playing x-box. He was an avid Ohio State, Miami Heat, and Dallas Cowboys fan. Above all he was a wonderful dad and loved his wife and children more than anything.
Survivors include his wife of 2 years, Kaitlyn D. Galbreath of Columbus; children, Kaylin Garland, Tegan Villegas, Zachary Galbreath Jr, and Zander Galbreath all of Columbus; biological mother, Christina Galbreath of Madison; mom, Dana Lewis of Columbus; siblings, Aaron, Jaimysha, Sierra Rimmer, Stefana Rimmer, Michael, Cameron, Shelby; mother-in-law, Shannon Richards of Columbus; father-in-law, Randall Leonard of Shelbyville; brothers-in-law, Randy and Andy Leonard; and grandmother, Carolyn Burton of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Perry; Grandma Nina; Grandpa William Lewis; Aunt Kathy; Uncle Gary; grandmother-in-law, Kathy Richards; and best friend, Monty Higgins.
The funeral service will be on Friday, December 10th at 12:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor David Gates officiating.
Family and friends may call for visitation from 10:00 a.m. till time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In memory of Zach memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to an Education Fund for his children.
