Beverly K. Ellis, 79, of Columbus passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home.
Beverly was born in Columbus May 4, 1942, the daughter of Flavius and Cora Lay Waddle. She married Ronald Lee Ellis September 19, 1964 at East Columbus United Methodist Church.
She was a devoted homemaker and mother and member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the WSCS and the prayer shawl crochet group of the church and a former member of Clifford Order of Eastern Star and Order of Bauseant. She loved to read, crochet and cook, she loved children and was a former Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Ellis of Columbus; daughter, Gail (Al) Scroggins of Jackson, MO; sisters, Della (Bobby) Hedrick of Deland, FL and Peggy (Frank) Wilson of DeBary, FL.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 sisters; 1 brother.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Rev. Howard Boles officiating. Visitation Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Saturday to service time. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery at Mineral Springs.
