COLUMBUS, Ind. — Five people were arrested on a variety of criminal charges after CPD officers were led on a vehicle pursuit Thursday night.
At approximately 10:10 p.m., CPD officers attempted to stop a vehicle near 12th Street and Chestnut Street, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman. The
driver of the vehicle, later identified as Jonathan A. Davis, 30, of Seymour, refused to pull over and led officers on a vehicle pursuit, Harris said.
During the pursuit, Davis reportedly disregarded several stop signs and later lost control of the vehicle and slid into the yard of a residence near 8th Street and Reed Street. Davis’ vehicle became disabled and he fled from the vehicle and officers on foot, Harris said.
Officers pursued Davis on foot and later located him inside an apartment in the 1500 block
of 10th Street where he was taken into custody, Harris said.
While inside the apartment, officers located narcotics and drug paraphernalia as well as Terrell A. Brantley, 34, of Columbus, who was hiding under a blanket inside the residence. The officers confirmed an Indiana parole warrant for Brantley’s arrest and he was taken into custody.
The officers also arrested Joseph Stanley, 37, of Columbus; Nichole J. Kronmiller, 44, of Columbus; and Bethany M. Todd, 28, of Columbus; as a result of the investigation. The five suspects were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:
