Giants stop East’s streak
INDIANAPOLIS — Class 4A co-No. 9 Columbus East saw its eight-game winning streak come to an end with a 74-53 loss at Ben Davis on Tuesday.
The Olympians (10-2) led 19-15 after one quarter, but the Giants came back to take a 33-27 halftime lead.
Koryn Greiwe led East with 22 points. Saige Stahl scored 15, and Leah Bachmann added nine.
Lancers top Jets
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh jumped out to a 37-26 halftime lead and held on for a 49-45 Mid-Hoosier Conference win against Hauser.
Gracie Crawhorn led the Lancers (7-4, 1-0) with 13 points. Bethany Burton added eight.
Madelyn Poe scored 15 points to lead the Jets (7-4, 1-3). Kyliegh Parrott scored 10, and Adrianna Musillami added eight.
Columbus Christian falls
INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus Christian was within 39-34 after three quarters, but Central Christian Academy pulled away for a 52-37 victory.
Sarah Lorimor led the Crusaders (3-3) with 16 points. Eva Blair scored 10, and Madi Blair added nine.
