Martha Ann Sebastian

COLUMBUS

Martha Ann Perkins Sebastian was born Oct. 24, 1929 to Rufus Lee and Regency Hook Perkins in Columbus, Indiana. She had one brother, Jesse Lee Perkins. Martha had three children Dawn Fulgham of Boerne, Texas, Patrick Armstrong of El Granada California, and Dee Ann Crabtree of Indianapolis, IN.

Martha had three grandchildren, Misty Thomas of Texas, Ryan Bender of Martinsville IN, Nicholas Schreiner of Noblesville, IN,, Also three great grandchildren Chandra Dawn Engle of Texas, Tayor Bender of Martinsville IN and Branson Bender of Martinsville IN, and Cooper Schreiner of Noblesville, She has one great-great granddaughter of Texas, Braylyn Adora Engle of Texas. This family has had five generations for several years. She also had several nieces and nephews who called her ‘Aunt Marthy’ and contributed much to her life. She has been especially close to her niece, Stacy Collins.

Martha graduated from Jackson Twp. High School in Decatur County. She lived most of her life in Columbus, IN but the family moved to Decatur County in 1943 where she went to high school.

Martha worked at Product Engineering for ten years and then at Cummins for 25. She was a member of 1st Christian Church, she was a Past Matron of the Columbus Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of American Revolution. She had a great interest in genealogy the arts, antiques, flea markets and travel. She volunteered at Columbus Visitors Center, Mill Race Center and Florida at Families and Children. Martha spent the winter months at the family home in Haines City, FL.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street with visitation from 12:30 p.m. to service time. Burial will follow in Garland Book Cemetery. To leave a fond memory or condolence to the family go to www.myers-reed.com.
