COLUMBUS
Sandra S. Bainbridge, 80, of Columbus, passed away at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
Sandra was born August 25, 1941, in Lexington, Nebraska, the daughter of Ernest C. and Ruby H. Lundvall Peterson. On June 10, 1977, she married Fred W. Bainbridge.
Mrs. Bainbridge cherished the time spent with her family. She was very active in any church that she happened to be attending throughout her life. Her helping nature and giving spirit was prevalent throughout her life. Sandra made friends easily and never met a stranger. She made it a habit to put others first and unselfishly gave her time to help whomever it may be, that needed it. Sandra’s ever present, welcoming smile and contagious laugh will certainly be missed by those that knew her best.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Weddle of Columbus, Holly (Ron) Findley of Taylorsville, Jeri Grimes of Columbus; grandchildren, Amanda Manning, Timara Eisfelder, Dylan Findley, Garett Findley, Caitlin Findley, John Findley, Nick Grimes, Elizabeth Grimes; great-grandchildren, Rylan Eisfelder, Carlie Eisfelder, Gabe Manning, Gracelyn Manning, Ava Findley, Heidi Findley; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; grandson, Cole Weddle; brother, Larry Peterson and sister, Connie Rutten.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Charles Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. A live stream of the funeral service may be viewed at 12:00 p.m. Friday at barkesweaverglick.com.
Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
