Margaret “Peg” Fawbush, 89, of Columbus, IN passed away peacefully December 24, 2021 at Jill’s House in Bloomington, IN. .
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ivan Fawbush; her sisters Vivian Newberry, Ruth Breedlove, Virginia Reuhl; her brother Jim (Bud) Floyd; grandson Dillon Gauthey. Peg is survived by son Steve Fawbush of Atlanta, GA; daughter Robin &husband Michael Gauthey of Martinsville, IN; grandchildren Jessica (Cody) Hill of Martinsville, IN and Megan (Colby) Fawbush-Jones of Atlanta, GA; and three great grandchildren Ellie, Cutler and Vivienne.
Peg and Ivan shared a beautiful love story for 60 years. Throughout the years she received endless bouquets of wildflowers and love letters in return she packed his lunch with special treats and love notes.
They enjoyed living on their mini farm in Burnsville, IN where they shared a love for gardening, tending to their orchard, designing and growing elaborate flower beds, farm animals and each other’s company. Endless hours were spent in the kitchen as she loved cooking and feeding her family. As a family we rejoice knowing they are eternally together again.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
