Cougars edge Bull Dogs

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus North claimed the top two spots in the all-around competition Thursday, but Bloomington North slipped past the Bull Dogs 105.25 to 104.7.

Emily Moore edged Bull Dog teammate Reese Euler 36.8 to 36.65 to win the all-around. Moore won the beam (9.55) and floor (9.5) and finished second on the bars (8.85) and vault (8.9).

Euler won the vault (9.55) and bars (9.15) and placed second on the beam (8.85) and floor (9.1).

Columbus Christian trailed 27-22 at halftime before rallying for a 56-38 win against Crothersville.

Sarah Lorimor led the Crusaders (8-6) with 31 points. Eva Blair added 17.

Cougars fall to Mohawks

WALDRON — Class A No. 2 Waldron wrapped up the outright Mid-Hoosier Conference title with a 69-37 win against South Decatur.

Kiley Best led the Cougars (3-13, 0-5) with nine points. Loryn Pate added eight.
