Officers arrest local woman on drug-related charges following accident

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police officers arrested a local woman on several charges after she reportedly crashed a vehicle on Saturday evening. At approximately 8:35 p.m., CPD officers attempted to stop a speeding car on 10th Street, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
A short time later, the driver of the vehicle, Angel M. Tucker, 44, of Columbus, crashed into a stop sign and quickly exited her vehicle and began walking away. The officers made contact with Tucker and determined that she did not have a valid driver’s license, Harris said.

The officers also recovered a syringe containing a liquid suspected to be fentanyl, and additional drug paraphernalia, Harris said. Tucker was placed under arrest and transported
to the Bartholomew County Jail where she was remanded on the following preliminary charges:
–Possession of a Narcotic Drug
–Possession of a Legend Drug Injection Device
–Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
–Leaving the Scene of an Accident
–Driving While Suspended with a Prior Conviction
