BCSC cases up 40 from last week

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. is reporting a total of 944 COVID-19 cases since Jan. 1, up 40 from last week’s total.

As of noon Friday, the school corporation reported 762 student cases and 182 staff cases during the new semester. This brings the total for the school year up to 1,904 since August, with 960 during the first semester.

This week’s number of new cases is noticeably lower than that of prior weeks in the second semester. These have ranged from 100 to 250 new cases between weekly reports, with an average of about 150 new cases per each week from Jan. 1 to Feb. 4.

The breakdown of cases for the second semester is as follows by building:
