Three arrested after deputies sent to investigate ‘impaired driver’

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputy arrested three men after being sent to an “impaired driver” call after all three appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, deputies said.

Deputy Matt Bush was sent on the call at 2:08 p.m. Thursday about the impaired driver in the 8100 block of North County Road 1150E, Hope.

Bush observed three male subjects, all of whom appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. Xanax and marijuana were located on Eric Love, 47, Hope, deputies said. Love was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
–Possession of a controlled substance
–Possession of marijuana
He has since been released.
Suboxone and Xanax were located on the person of Michael Lonaker, 28, Hope, deputies said.
Lonaker was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of a controlled substance. Lonaker has since been released.
Geoffrey Jones, 30, Hope, had bout 3 grams of fentanyl on his person, deputies said. Jones was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of:
–Possession of a controlled substance
–Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
Jones has since been released.
