Three arrested after report of impaired driver

A Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputy arrested three men after being sent to an “impaired driver” call after all three appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, deputies said.

Deputy Matt Bush was sent on the call at 2:08 p.m. Thursday about the impaired driver in the 8100 block of North County Road 1150E, Hope.

Bush observed three male subjects, all of whom appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

Xanax and marijuana were located on Eric Love, 47, of 20300 E. County Road 700N, Hope, deputies said. Love was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Love’s bond was set at $8,500, jail officials said. He has since been released under the county’s program that allows qualifying defendants to be released without posting bond.

Suboxone and Xanax were located on the person of Michael Lonaker, 28, of 719 Vine Drive, Hope, deputies said. Lonaker was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of a controlled substance. Lonaker, whose bond was set at $5,000, was released under the county’s program that allows qualifying defendants to be released without posting bond.

Geoffrey Jones, 30, of 19394 E Lake Site Drive, Hope, had bout 3 grams of fentanyl on his person, deputies said. Jones was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Jones has since been released with bond set at $10,000.
