From drama to music to comedy, Brown County Playhouse is shining the spotlight on a variety of entertainment within its cozy, 426-seat space in Nashville.

Here’s a quick look at what’s hitting the nearby stage in upcoming days:

Arsenic and Old Lace: Live Retro Radio: Opening 7:30 p.m. Friday. The farcical black comedy from the past comes to life afresh in this vintage Lux Radio rendition where audience participation is encouraged.

A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters”: Opens 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25. A tender tragi-comic and nuanced examination of the shared nostalgia, missed opportunities, and deep closeness of two lifelong, complicated friends. While spanning five decades and numerous locations, it is staged simply, with two actors behind desks or sitting in cozy chairs, letting their words describe a world of emotion.

Musical comic Heywood Banks: 7:30 p.m. March 4. The performer who has been a huge hit with area audiences since the 1980s (think sellouts) always provides a wry look at life through his stories and songs. Audiences nationwide fell in love with his wit on the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show.”

Night Owl Country Band: 7:30 p.m. March 11. The ever-popular, locally based country ensemble has performed throughout the region, the South, and other parts of the nation for the past several years, including taking the stage at the hallowed Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.

Juggler Yoder and the Cincinnati Circus Event: 7:30 p.m. March 12. Juggling, comedy, acrobats, and an aerialist. Pre-show fun begins at 6:30 p.m. for the face painting, balloon animals, and corn dogs at the concession stand along with all kinds of other sundries. Dress in your favorite costume and join the costume parade. Games and prizes too. Also: Children and youth younger than 18 are admitted free with a paid adult.
