Rhonda Kay Long

COLUMBUS

Rhonda Kay Long, 70, of Columbus, passed from this life on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 10:55 a.m. at her residence.

Rhonda was born on March 16, 1951, in Rensselaer, Indiana the daughter of James Hill and Carol Nuss Kemp. In 1970 she married Ronald R. Long.

Mrs. Long was an ordained minister, had an advanced diploma in Biblical Counseling, was a certified Master Life Coach, board certified Pastoral Counselor, certified in Christian Mediation and had a master’s degree in Theology. She went on to start Watershed Ministries, where she did Christian counseling. She was very involved and enjoyed participating in the children’s ministry and served in various areas at church, including Praise, Worship and being a Youth Leader. One of her greatest joys was being a grandma, she also enjoyed reading and traveling especially to Gulf Shores, Alabama and Montana.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald R. Long of Columbus; sons, Eric (Roselyn) Long and Andrew (Jeannie) Long; grandchildren, Clayton Long, Connor Long, Eden Long, Foster Long, Dillon Long; and a sister, Candace Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may call for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

Private burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Mrs. Long through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Love Chapel.
