Free tickets are no longer required for anyone attending the rescheduled Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Annual Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at The Commons, 300 Washington St. in downtown Columbus.
The event, celebrating King’s civil rights legacy and highlighting racial and related challenges, usually draws community leaders in everything from government to education to law enforcement. The Rev. Jane Sims of Calvary Community Church will be the keynote speaker highlighting the theme “We’ve Come This Far By Faith.”
A free youth program will follow at 10:15 a.m. and will include science, technology, math and related activities, plus a scavenger hunt and a free lunch.
