SEYMOUR
Beverly N. Purdue, 76, of Seymour, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 8:03 p.m. at Lutheran Community Home.
Mrs. Purdue was born on November 24, 1945, in Greensburg the daughter of David L. and Joyce Hook Dove. On October 6, 1979, she married James H. Purdue.
Mrs. Purdue retired from Columbus Regional Hospital where she was a switchboard operator. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends at the Lutheran Community Home and above all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Beth (Randy) Brumett of Scipio; grandchildren, Ross Brumett and Macy Brumett; several bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Lee Ozbun of Greensburg; and lifelong best friend of 70 years, Noretta Smith of Scipio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James H. Purdue on September 11, 1997.
The funeral service will be on Monday, February 28th at 12:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Mona Safley officiating.
Family and friends may call for visitation from 11:00 a.m. till time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Scipio Cemetery.
In memory of Mrs. Purdue memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to the Lutheran Community Home Enrichment Program.
