Peyton Garnet Weller, 20, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Peyton was born July 11, 2001 in Traverse City, Michigan. He graduated from Columbus East High School in 2019.
Peyton is survived by his father, Jason Weller; his step-mother, Jennifer Weller; his mother, Lisa Weller; grandparents, David and Karen VanDePutte; step-grandparents, William and Debbie Watson, Tommy and Wanda Gray, and Rhonda Sherwood; step great-grandmother, Wanda R. Watson; brothers, Tyler and Gage Weller; step siblings, Tyler and Ansley Wilson; aunts and uncles, Sara (Tony) Schulz, Melissa VanDePutte (Phillip Brantley), Steven Sherwood, Jessica Zwart, and Shianne and Skyler Gunderson; step aunts and uncles, Angie, Jeremy (Mandy), Lora, and Jesse (Pat) Gray, and Amy and Jenny Hill; as well as several other cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Steve Sherwood and Cheryl Reed; paternal grandfather, Jeffrey Allen Weller; aunt, Jackie Lockhart; cousin, Kaylee Thomas; and his baby cousin, Westin Michael Schulz.
A funeral service for Peyton will be held Tuesday, March 1 at 6 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Rev. Alan J. White officiating. Friends may gather for visitation from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
