SEYMOUR — Floyd Central survived a scare from Jennings County before pulling out a 61-54 double-overtime win Tuesday in the opening round of the boys basketball Seymour Sectional.
The Panthers (14-9) led 26-13 at halftime before the Highlanders (18-4) came back to force overtime. Floyd Central led by three in the closing seconds of the first extra period before Carson McNulty hit a 3-pointer to send it to a second overtime.
Carter Kent led Jennings with 14 points. Keegan Manowitz scored 12, and McNulty added nine.
The Highlanders advance to play New Albany in Friday’s second semifinal.
