Columbus East High School graduate Carolyn Travis is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate majority caucus during the 2022 legislative session, said State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford).

Travis, a resident of Columbus, is the daughter of Kimberly Fogleman and David Travis. She earned a degree in horticulture from Purdue University in 2021.

“It’s been a great honor serving Hoosiers,” Travis said. ” I look forward to a career in public service and continuing to represent our community at the Statehouse.”

As a legislative intern, Travis tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.

“It’s always great to have recent graduates here to help our team during the legislative session,” Koch said. “Especially during a busy short session like this one, I’m thankful for Carolyn’s dedication and hard work.”
