SEYMOUR
Jerry Lee Martin, 78, of Seymour, passed from this life at 4:06 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Martin was born March 1, 1944, in Freetown, the son of Hubert and Victoria Gregory Martin.
Jerry retired from Cummins Engine Company.
He was a former member of the Black Powder Rifles &Muzzleloaders and enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching western movies.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was honorable discharged June 28, 1971.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Sue Martin of Columbus and 5 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Gene Martin and a sister, Joan Craig.
In keeping with the Mr. Martin’s wishes, cremation will take place.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Garland Brook Mausoleum Chapel.
Military honors will be precented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
