IUPUC will be one of 10 statewide hosts for the 2022 Indiana State Math Contest.
The event will be April 23 at the Columbus Learning Center.
Elementary, middle school and high school students from around the region will compete in one of five exam categories including pre-algebra, algebra and geometry. Awards will be presented to top scorers for each category at a local and state level.
Leigh Britt, mathematics lecturer at IUPUC and board member for the Indiana Council of Teachers of Mathematics, which is sponsoring the competition, is coordinating the statewide event as well as the local competition.
IUPUC Professor Rodney Lynch is the exam writer for the comprehensive exam this year, having also written it in 2019. Lynch also wrote the geometry exam in 2017 and 2018.
