Columbus student Aniket Singh from Southside Elementary School served as a Senate page during the 2022 session of the Indiana General Assembly at the Statehouse at the invitation of state Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford).
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
“There is no better way to learn how bills are passed than witnessing the legislative process in person,” Koch said. “The Senate page program puts students right where the action is, and I’m glad Aniket was able to have this opportunity.”
