It has been our pleasure and it continues to be our privilege to publish the daily The Republic serving Columbus and surrounding Bartholomew County. And now especially so in celebration of its 150th anniversary!
Columbus is a very special place and an extraordinary community. We believe we have matched these qualities well with our dedicated staff and team at The Republic and our pledge to you is that we will continue to do so in the years ahead.
The Brown family established the central and enduring role for The Republic within the Columbus community during their six generations of ownership and leadership. We had the great pleasure of knowing Robert N. Brown early in our careers and more recently we had the wonderful opportunity to become well acquainted with Jeff Brown.
Our goal since acquiring The Republic and its sister publications in the state of Indiana is to continue the daily, community service first demonstrated by the Brown family. This includes objective, balanced reporting, engaging our local audiences with a variety of news and features, and helping set the civic agenda and discourse in both print and online for the important issues facing the community.
