The National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) have partnered to provide Indiana counties with a free flag collection box.
The boxes are used to ensure that flags that are damaged or need replacement receive a proper retirement.
The Bartholomew County Flag Collection box is located outside the Veteran’s Office on the second floor of the Government Office Building, 440 Third St, in downtown Columbus.
Larry Garrity, Veteran’s Service Officer,will take the flags collected in the box to a local funeral home for proper disposal.
